Hoje, dia 10/8/2014, meu amigo Bruno Gonçalves me passou um link do phoronix.com dizendo que agora era possível rodar o Netflix no Linux nativamente direto do Google Chrome 38, pois já tinham inserido o DRM para rodar sobre o HTML5. O Bruno que faz parte do projeto União Livre, também é colaborador do Kaiana Linux – a distro que substituiu o BigLinux. Eu uso Sabayon Linux, fui logo instalando o google-chrome-unstable com base diretamente do Gentoo. Foi sensacional! Rodou perfeitamente bem e superleve, consumindo apenas 2% da CPU. A única coisa que fiz de “especial” foi instalar um user-agent no Chrome.
Abaixo segue o procedimento para rodá-lo. Lembrando que, basicamente você precisa do Google Chrome na sua versão 38 e um plugin user-agent para burlar a identificação do navegador.
Obs.: Caso você seja usuário do Ubuntu e derivados e utiliza a versão 14.04, é preciso atualizar os seguintes pacotes libnss3, libnss3-1d e libnss3-nssdb para os da versão do Ubuntu 14.10.
Peço a todos que testem em variadas distribuições Linux e relatem se obtiveram problemas. Como eu uso o Sabayon, vou fazer um resumo do que deve ser feito, e como o procedimento é sim simples, depois de instalado o navegador, bastam que vocês sigam os mesmos procedimentos.
Instalação do Google Chrome instável
Sabayon
Siga os procedimentos como demostrado aqui. Edite o arquivo “/etc/entropy/client.conf” rode: emerge –sync && layman -S. O comando eix não é necessário.
Adicionar a licença de uso:
root # echo ">=www-client/google-chrome-unstable-38.0.2114.2_p1 google-chrome" >> /etc/portage/package.license
Instalar o Google Chrome Instável:
root # emerge -av www-client/google-chrome-unstable
Adicione o pacote na base dados do Sabayon:
root # equo rescue spmsync
Ubuntu e derivados
Adicione o repositório União Livre:
root # echo 'deb http://repo.uniaolivre.com/packages trusty main' > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/kaiana.list root # wget http://repo.uniaolivre.com/uniaolivre.key -O- | apt-key add -
Adicione o repositório do Google. *Apenas se não tiver o Chrome instalado:
usuário $ sudo wget -q -O - https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add - usuário $ sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google-chrome.list'
Instale o pacote do Netflix:
usuário $ sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install netflix-chrome-icon
Uma dica legal do Bruno foi sobre a utilização de um link direto para o Netflix. Aproveitei para criar um simples script e o Bruno o empacotou e colocou no repositório do União Livre. Depois de instalar o pacote, o mesmo já deve aparecer no menu de aplicações, mas se preferir pode executá-lo no terminal com o nome de netflix-chrome-icon.
Obs.: Quem utilizar o repositório do União Livre não precisa se preocupar com os pacotes: libnss3, libnss3-1d e libnss3-nssdb, pois já estão inclusos no repositório.
Configuração do User-agent
*Se você instalou o pacote para Ubuntu e derivados, desconsidere este procedimento.
Instale o User-Agent Switcher for Chrome, cliquei com o botão direito sobre ele e acesse o menu Opções. Em New User-agent name pode ser colocado qualquer nome, é apenas um apelido, coloque por exemplo: Netflix; em New User-Agent String coloque ( Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/37.0.2049.0 Safari/537.36 ); e em Indicator Flag pode colocar NF.
